The US federal government has made strong preparations for “continuity of government” in the event of a national catastrophe. A full army brigade is now on active duty within domestic borders, and the Bush administration has issued a directive which allows the president to coordinate all three branches of the federal government in such an event. The Real News spoke to Bruce Fein.

All that is needed …
All that is needed is for people to NOT keep buying stuff, for a general strike until we get health care, living wage, and a general new deal which gives everyone a sustainable minimum standard of living.
I don’t think we have to worry about soldiers taking over America – that can never work, and they are only there in case of a major danger to people. The kind of danger we need to fear is what we have already had, a society based on disinformation and lies.
