Yes, let’s make it illegal to voice one’s opinion! Let’s control what people can say so that we never have to be exposed to dissenting views. Dibkins, there are places like that where you never have to hear anyone disagree with you, places like China & Cuba, where you can actually be put in jail for having unpopular opinions. It sounds like you’d be right at home there. I fear for our country when people like you display such abject ignorance of our constitution & what remains of our freedoms.

He maybe should have adjusted for income throuhg the ages. This man is painful to watch. The only way the world will ever move on is if every man woman and child is educated to be able to understand and analyse the issues facing them. It is pretty obvious. The price for a house, adjusted for inflation, historically hovers around 100k, until recently. That’s it. Housing prices still need to fall. They are inflated still. We are being fooled by our government. They are telling us that we are at the end of the recension, but we still have the bottom to hit.

more money spent in the economy increases economic activity, even if it is government spending. yes it has to be paid back, eventually, but eventually is nearly forever with gmt spending, so the effect is still to stimulate the economy. this is economic law.
part of the reason we are in this mess is due to the loan debacle, but how do you figure that banks were FORCED to give out loans?

yes, spending helps …
yes, spending helps most economies get going again.
but in our case, banks are getting money at near-zero interest rates and can buy treasuries at about 3%………so why would they loan money? that’s the problem, banks are not loaning.
if you think that spending does not ease a depression, what is your solution? contract the economy in a depression? that’s ludicrous.
